Location: Fairfield, OH 45014
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Machinist to operate conversational CNC and manual vertical mills to produce complex components within the required dimensions and specifications.
What You’ll Do:

• Interpret blue prints and sketches and adjust machine and tooling parameters as necessary to ensure compliant parts
• Develop setups as required, tabletop, vices, etc. To securely hold parts for machining
• Create programs in control or operate manually as required to machine parts per print.
• Select tools for the job utilizing creativity for special processes or unique applications.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using measuring and inspection tools as necessary

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in a job shop environment making one off and small lot parts. No high production.
• Must have prior machining experience and understand manual and conversational machine operation.
• Must have your own tools including basic measuring devices.
• Must have a good set up knowledge, understand how to hold surface flatness by packing/shimming as necessary.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and understand GD&T
• Must know shop math including fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Must be familiar with the metric system.
• Familiarity with Protorak SMX controls
• Understanding of basic milling operations such as circular interpolation, using, and adjusting boring bars.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed or moving mechanical parts and sharp objects.
Requires standing, climbing and lifting/ moving up to 50#
